WHEN BERNIE STILL MANAGES TO DRAG TRUMP LEFT AND RIGHT POST-ELECTION
Hey, this post may contain sexually explicit content, so we’ve hidden it from public view.
i dunno about you guys but if i’m not sure if a snake is venomous or not i don’t think my first step would be to grab & examine its ass
my policy for “they’re just doing it for attention” has always been and always will be “then someone needs to pay attention to them”
I’ve always thought this
Let me tell you about the time I worked as a computer teacher for a small private school. My first day went well, but in the staff room that day I was told I was lucky that this one kid was out sick. No one could control him.
Next week, he was in. It took me 10 minutes to determine that I was dealing with a 10 year old kid who was incredibly intelligent, more than a little bored, and loved being the center of attention.
He was also black. I say this because I think that a intelligent, somewhat bored, attention-seeking white kid might have been treated differently.
So, day one I made him sit by himself where no one could see him to stop him from taking over the class (which he was clearly used to doing).
Day two: I paid close attention to when he finished (not surprising, he was first and did everything correctly). I immediately told him he was helping me, and paired him with a struggling student.
My hunch was right; he made a excellent teacher. He thrived on having this other kid’s attention. He wasn’t bored. He was one of my best students.
He was a bright kid. And he needed people to pay attention to him and would settle for any kind of attention he could get. But when he was able to channel that positively, he was a great student and a really helpful classmate.
IMPORTANT POINT HERE
It’s way too late for this, but it’s important to note that NASA didn’t discover the new earth-like planets. It was a group of astronomers lead by a dude name Michaël Gillon from the University of Liège in Belgium. Giving NASA credit for this gives the United States credit for something they didn’t do, and we already have a problem with making things about ourselves so. just like…be mindful. I’d be pissed if I discovered a small solar system and credit was wrongfully given to someone else.
This is valid. NASA’s involvement in this was predominantly in the use of of Spitzer data to validate findings from a primarily European funded program (TRAPPIST). There were Americans (or at least, an American) on the team, but beyond it being a collaborative and data-sharing arrangement this isn’t primarily an Agency achievement.
there are actual people out there who want to genetically modify carnivores so they no longer eat other animals
im going to fly away from this planet goodbye
yeah let’s just fuck up the entire ecosystem because i’m uncomfortable with the fact that nature doesn’t conform to my world-views.
This sounds like some incredibly white shit
nothing could ever go wrong with an ecosystem if the predators were removed… whoever heard of trophic cascade?
Okay y'all so this is something I actually know about so sit your asses down & buckle up.
Back in the nineteen1800s or whenever sea otters were going extinct because everyone wanted to wear them as fancy fucking fur coats. But after they killed off all the sea otters suddenly there were no fish in the bays off of coastal cities and people were like there’s no food what the fuck happened why is there no fish in our fucking Bay??? Turns out sea otters are an insanely important predator because they primarily eat sea urchins which eat kelp. Without the sea otters, there was nothing to stop the sea urchins from destroying the kelp forest that the fish relied upon for nurseries and for food and shit. So all the entire ecosystem was destroyed due to the loss of a predator who’s diet & niche was insanely important to the ecosystem. Once they stopped hunting the sea otters after a few years there were fish again.
Tl;dr- predators are important as shit & it would be stupid to try to change their diet since its an important part of their ecological role.
me talking to an adult about computers: yes babette i know everything. yes its going very quickly. thats bc im familiar with it. just let me - done. you’re welcome
